Air Canada

Air Canada

Air Canada is the flag carrier and largest airline of Canada. Air Canada was founded in 1936. Important hubs for Air Canada are Toronto Pearson International Airport, Calgary International Airport, Montréal-Pierre Elliott Trudeau International Airport and Vancouver International Airport. Air Canada operates worldwide scheduled passenger, charter and cargo services to more than 178 destinations.

Air Canada is part of the alliance Star Alliance. Air Canada operates a mixed fleet of Airbus, Boeing and Embraer aircraft.

Air Canada offers 2 classes of service.
Executive First is Air Canada’s international business class product and is available on all widebody aircraft with the exception of three Boeing 767-300ER aircraft which feature a North American Executive Class cabin.
Economy Class is offered on all aircraft.

Our rating:
Advantages of Air Canada are the number of destinations in Canada. The fleet is very well maintained. It is also possible to select a seat and check in online.
Disadvantages of Air Canada are the seat pitch in economy class on long distances. Not too much legroom although direct North American competitors offer more or less the same seat pitch.

Air Canada is one of the best airlines in North America and offers good service and have recently updated the interior and in-flight entertainment of their Aircraft. We recommend Air Canada for flights to and from Canada. Air Canada is comparable with the larger European Airlines.
