Eva Airways is an airline based at Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport near Taipei, and is the second largest airline in Taiwan. Eva Airways was founded in 1989. Eva Airways operates worldwide scheduled passenger services from its home base, Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport, to more than 40 destinations in Asia, Australia, Europe and North America. Eva Airways domestic and regional subsidiary, UNI Air, operates a medium and short-haul network based in Kaohsiung. Eva Airways was one of the first airlines to introduce the premium economy class.

Eva Airways is a member of the alliance Star Alliance. Eva Airways operates a mixed fleet of Airbus and Boeing aircraft.

Eva Airways offers 3 classes of service on long-haul flights. Business Class (Premium Laurel), Premium Economy (Elite Class) and Economy Class.
Premium Laurel Business class cabin feature 180-degree, fully flat seats, pod-style seats which can convert to an angled lie-flat bed with laptop power available. Or recliner seats with no in-seat power.
All cabins feature satellite phones, audio video on demand (AVOD) entertainment and SMS service.
Elite Class, premium economy class, is offered in a dedicated cabin on the Boeing 777 and 747. Elite Class has wider seating and legroom, improved food, but service levels in Elite Class are similar to Economy Class.
Economy Class is available on all EVA Air aircraft, featuring touchscreen personal entertainment screens, sliding seat cushions, and adjustable winged headrests. In Economy Class of the Boeing 747-400 Combi and MD 90, there is no personal entertainment.

Eva Airways is a good but average airline for Asian standards, friendly staff and offer good on-board service.
