Delta Air Lines is a major airline in the United States. Delta Air Lines operates an extensive domestic and international network serving all continents except Antarctica. Delta Air Lines, founded in 1929, has its main hub at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, which is the world's busiest airport by passenger traffic and number of landings and takeoffs. Other important hubs are Memphis, New York JFK, Salt Lake City, Detroit en Cincinnati. After the merger with Northwest Amsterdam became another important international hub. Delta is the sixth-oldest operating airline by foundation date, and the oldest airline still operating in the United States. Advantages of Delta Air Lines are the diversity and quantity of destinations and direct flights to destinations in North, Central and South America. The fleet is very well maintained and all aircraft have in-flight entertainment. Delta has the largest fleet of Wi-Fi-equipped aircraft in the world and Delta will offer Wi-Fi on international flights beginning early 2013. It is also possible to select a seat and check in online.

Delta Air Lines is a good but average airline and offers good service. After the merger with Northwest Delta offers many routes and flights to destinations in North America. Delta Air Lines is comparable with major European airlines.
