Airline review Norwegian

Norwegian Air Shuttle is a Norwegian low-cost airline and the second largest airline in Scandinavia. Norwegian has bases at Oslo Gardermoen, Copenhagen, Stockholm Arlanda, Helsinki Vantaa, Bergen, Trondheim, Stavanger and Sandefjord, Malaga and Las Palmas. Norwegian was founded in 1993 and operates scheduled passenger services to more than 115 destinations in Europe. Norwegian flies in a point to point model rather than the more traditional airline hub and spoke model where the passengers have to change aircraft in transit at a major airport.

Norwegian operates an all Boeing fleet, mostly Boeing 737-800. Aircraft cabins are configured in a single class, high density layout.

Norwegian only has Economy Class and offers a buy on board service offering food and drinks for purchase.

Our rating:
Advantages of Norwegian are cheap fares, diversity and quantity of destinations and direct flights to destinations in Europe. The fleet is young and well maintained. It is also possible to select a seat and check in online. Most aircraft offer free Wi-Fi internet.
Disadvantages of Norwegian are the seat pitch in economy class. Rather uncomfortable seats but alright for a short flight. There is no in-flight entertainment available.

Norwegian is an average airline. No extraordinary performance but a decent airline. For extra services you will be charged.
